Command & Conquer:Red Alert gives you the option to play one of two distinct fighting forces:
The Allies, consisting of a handful of remaining free European countries that oppose Stalin; or the Soviet
Empire, the mighty war juggernaut bent on continental domination.
If you choose the Allies, you will fight against the Soviet Empire. If you choose the Soviet Empire,
you will fight against the Allies. Each side is radically different from the other, with varying strengths
and weaknesses, different units, technologies, and different philosophies towards war. In addition,
different stories will unfold depending on the side you have chosen.
You should also be aware of the fact that in multiplayer games the following adjustments apply to which
side you choose;
- England - 10% thinner armour
- Germany - 10% stronger firepower
- France - 10% slower firing rate
- Ukraine - 10% faster units
- Russia - 10% cheaper construction costs
